In a world where everything is statistics and numbers and broken down into services, I never felt that my Mum was a number. I know that people treated her with the due and respect that they should treat other people, I really believe that AMCS has done that. They really cared for Mum like she was a sister or a mother or an auntie.
The flexibility within the system [enabled] the outcomes that mum needed from doctors like shopping, daily activities, cooking, cleaning, being washed, it was all done with respect and love for my mum. As a son who is a full time carer, they enabled me then to do other things in the time that they were there. I really do appreciate my mum not being a number, but being the lady she was and being treated in a manner that I feel was with love and care.
