Centre-based Respite

This service is provided in agreement with Uniting Vic.Tas. Care recipients located in the Eastern Metropolitan Region and Northern Metropolitan Region can access respite services that will in turn provide their carers with a much needed break from their caring role.

AMCS Centre-based Respite invites carers of care recipients to have a break and look after their own health and wellbeing, knowing that their dependents are well looked after while they’re away.

What is included in our respite services?

We organise transport, food and activities for our program participants while their carers get a break from their caring role. The nature and type of activities depends on the interests and capabilities of individuals, for example singing, craft, playing games and iPad training.

Thanks to the Australian government subsidy, only a small weekly fee applies for the participation in the program.
