How are donations used?
Our Emergency Relief program supports asylum seekers, refugees, migrants, and people experiencing financial hardship and this year, the number of people needing our help has been overwhelming.
For many of our clients, settling in Australia has been a dramatic life changing experience and most of them have faced complex challenges in adjusting to their new life.
AMCS provides financial or material assistance in the form of food vouchers and food parcels to the most vulnerable in the community who are not eligible for other support.
To keep up with the unprecedented demand, any assistance with the following basic supplies would be gratefully received:
- Money for food vouchers – just $45 will fill a fridge for a family
- Food donations such as: long rice, pasta, olive oil, chickpeas, tuna, biscuits etc.
- Myki cards
- Clothes (new or freshly washed)
- Toys for children
All contributions are very welcome and will be distributed to those most in need.
Giving is the single most powerful thing you can do to help those who are struggling in life.
