Blended Learning Project Officer

Australian Multicultural Community Services (AMCS) is seeking a project officer with experience in the development of blended learning tools and resources to support the delivery of adult education programs. The successful applicant will have experience in establishing the appropriate tools and resources to support the delivery of accredited training programs to adult learners, many of whom are mature aged, have English as a Second Language and are studying for the first time in Australia. Current courses delivered are Certificate III in Aged Care & Certificate III in Home & Community Care.

The project officer will also support the training staff to develop skills in utilising web based activities to support the learning strategies for students, assist to establish an appropriate on-line system for shared communication between students and trainers, and to identify future strategies for the organisation to progress in this area.

The position is full time for 16 weeks and will be paid at the above Award rate of $40 per hour.

Donate

  • AMCS welcomes donations from individuals and businesses. Donations of $2.00 and over are tax deductible.
You can now Donate on Line.
  • Donation of laptops, which will be utilized to provide volunteer-run computer classes for first time users i.e. largely older persons.
  • Donation of food vouchers and financial contributions for utility payments to support people who have no income to live on and are in crisis situations.

Volunteer

AMCS has a large team of volunteers who work together with our skilled staff to assist with client focused services, programs and support. Would you like to be a Volunteer?

Sponsorship

  • AMCS is generously supported from many parts of the community, through volunteers, donations and partnerships. Further generosity will allow AMCS to expand the range of programs available to the Polish community.
  • Sponsorship of a volunteer to visit Polish older persons in a nursing home once a week – for 6 months (cost $182) or 12 months (cost $364). Sponsorship will provide symbolic travel reimbursement of weekly visits by volunteers who are on Centrelink benefits.

Australian Multicultural Community Services (AMCS) is continually seeking people with a passion and interest in working with older members of the community to work in the Community Care Program. Experience in aged care an advantage but not essential. People interested in becoming a Home / Personal Care Worker should have a strong commitment to proactively supporting older people to maintain their independence,  be willing to travel around their local areas and sometimes a bit further, be willing to undertake study for relevant (compulsory) qualifications.
